Next week, stoney321 and I are running away from home together, and per usual we're planning on talking a lot about writing projects, so I've been contemplating what's on my mental to do list, what projects I have partly written but on hold, and what I want to do about them.

I don't know what it is, but I am always so relieved to get to the end of a first draft of a fic. Yes, there's always more work to do beyond that draft, so much to fluff out and smooth, but in a way starting every fic is like jumping off a cliff for me, and I spend my whole time writing it hoping that I'll have a soft landing at the bottom... or ( Read more... )
